    @aalonso1961 Si… El avión voló por primera vez en 1998, y en realidad es mucho más reciente que el actual 737 o A320.

    Uno de los últimos viajes de Mexicana Click,(antes del quiebre de esta compañía); en sus recién entregados a la compañía los flamantes BOEING 717-200.

    @apollocm13 The 717 definitely has autothrottles………..only the pilots flying the approach know what the winds and gusts were……..I suspect it was a windy day with gusts, therefore the constant power changes to adjust airspeed. I do not know what the manual for the 717 reads, but I doubt they would be using autothrottles on excessively windy days with huge gusts or wind direction changes. I know for sure that all CAT autoland systems have a max crosswind restriction.

    I know the MD-80s have auto throttles and I assume the 717 has them, I don’t know if they use them on approach, but I sure don’t think they used them on this approach, but the power was changing constantly, it drives you crazy after a while if you listen to it! I myself have a pilot’s license by the way, although it’s just a Private Pilot license.

    Hi, it has been told that most pilots use auto throttle during approach and landing on boeing 717 and md80 series. I don’t know if this is on the operation procedures.

    @RAQUAD986 nunca me ha gustado mexicana, siempre se retrazan y tratan muy mal el equipaje, pero siempre he reconocido que sus aterrizajess son excelentes y mira que he viajado en muchas aerolineas y ninguna le gana a mexicana. es como aterrizar en terciopelo.
